Which insurance do you accept?

Do you guys do car accident injury treatment?

Yes. By using insurance, you can conveniently receive both Eastern and Western treatments at once, including acupuncture, cupping therapy, and chiropractic/physical therapy. If you have already hired an attorney, don't hesitate to get in touch with our clinic at 714-519-3775 and provide us with your attorney’s and accident-related information. If you have not yet chosen an attorney, we can introduce you to an auto-insurance attorney we know well.

Does acupuncture hurt?

Acupuncture needles are less than half the thickness of syringe needles, so they hurt much less than injections. Experienced acupuncturists possess sufficient skill to minimize the pain during needle insertion, so patients feel very little discomfort. Furthermore, in most cases, pain is only felt at the moment the needle touches the skin; afterward, it is barely noticeable.

Are there any side effects to acupuncture?

Acupuncture is renowned for having the fewest side effects among various treatments for pain control, such as painkillers, injections, procedures, and surgeries. On the day of treatment, the area may feel slightly sore, but this usually subsides the next day. Rarely, bruising may occur at the needle insertion site, but it generally disappears within 2-3 days.

Does the injection solution go in when you insert the needle?

No injection solution is administered at all. The needle is a dry needle. It applies only physical stimulation to verified acupoints developed over a thousand years of history in Korean medicine. Since it applies only physical stimulation without any chemicals and has no effect whatsoever on the liver, kidneys, etc., it is very safe even with long-term treatment.

After starting at the Jaseng Center in the U.S. in 2012, Dr. Winston Lee began an impressive career combining clinical practice with patient education. His clinical conversations directly inspired his health columns, lectures, and published book, as he consistently took notes on topics he found himself explaining repeatedly to patients. This patient-centered approach ensured his writing was not only comprehensive but also easy for the general public to understand.

His clinical journey to the U.S. was motivated by a desire to practice in an English-speaking environment. Following his graduation from Semyung University and earning his master's and doctoral degrees from Kyunghee University, Dr. Lee gained extensive clinical experience. He opened a successful private practice in Korea before joining Jaseng Hospital, where he treated patients of various nationalities at the International Center in Seoul.

Upon relocating to California, he quickly adapted to the U.S. healthcare system, learning about PPO, HMO, and IPA insurance systems. His initial practice in Los Angeles and subsequent move to San Jose allowed him to build a strong network and manage a clinic independently. Dr. Lee served as the medical director for all Jaseng U.S. branches for ten years before opening his private practice in May 2022. He successfully manages his own practice, drawing on a wealth of clinical knowledge and hands-on experience gained over his dynamic career.
